XU ruotao was born in 1968 in Shenyang, Liaoning Province, China. He is currently
living and working in Beijing. Xu’s large canvases reflect a world where we can view nature’s processes from different viewpoints and perspectives. In this world the interrelationships between his lines and forms reflect a natural coexistence which is further emphasized by his selection of minimalist, contrasting colour.
